Privacy during consultations?!

Hi there!
 
I have only been on CD 2 weeks........had my third weigh in just now and I feel completely horrified/embarrassed here is why:
 
Whilst going through my consultation.....the consultant had a visitor arrive (some odd job man who came to do something for her)
 
Well, he stood there listening to our conversation.........then preceded to start telling me what to do/not to do........e.g that i must exercise more to lose weight quicker etc? My weightloss is nothing to do with him?!
 
I didn't even know his name.......the consultant did not tell him to wait outside......
 
I felt so embarrassed, actually speechless and couldnt get out of there quick enough.......
 
Im thinking of going to see a different consultant next week..........as she wasn't too bothered about my weight loss (which was 7lbs this week!!!)........as I feel really deflated caus of that......
 
When I look back, last week she kept me waiting half an hour (she was late) and didnt call me to warn me so i was sat outside her house like a complete lemon!
 
What do you think I should do?
 
I feel a consultation is like going for an appointment to the doctors.....you wouldnt want some starnger earwigging/butting in on your conversation would you?!

thats really disrespectful and bad mannerd of the man to say anything atall she should have never had you round nowing that someone was due to to a visit. being weigd for me anyway is very private id be mortified id deffinatley change my consultant ..............Clap.but 7lbs weight loss is fantastic hun wooo goo you x

That is not good at all. I would let her know how you feel so that hopefully it doesn't happen with other people, and find yourself a new consultant. you need to feel happy and confident in your consultant and privacy is important. you need to trust them and discuss anything with them. I can with mine and wouldn't have it any different. good luck x

First of all well done on your fantastic weightloss, 7lb on your third week is brilliant Smile
I'm so sorry you had an awful meeting with your consultant, why not have a chat with her and explain how upset you feel by what happened today and last meeting. At least by explaining you're giving her the opportunity to apologise and let you know how she can ensure this doesn't happen again.
As you have said you should have complete privacy, don't let this get you down.

I went to 4 CDC's before i found the one i am going to hopefully stay with. Most of them seem crap to me!! I felt i would get worst disrespectful behaviour and attitude in the future than she/he had already shown me.
 
Choose again . it is your choice!!!

So xHopefulx... how did it go? One of the best things about the CWP system is the 1 on 1 advice and privacy so def need to get sorted out if your not comfortable...

Hi there Hopeful.......
I had a really bad experience with a counsellor in eastbourne...
she did things like that and she would say "i have to get on, i have to get the students their tea!!!' i went to another counsellor after that!!
